VEHICLE COUNTING SYSTEM
Vehicular traffic is the phenomenon caused by the flow of vehicles on a road, street or highway. It also presents many similarities with other phenomena such as particle flow (liquids, gases or solids) and the pedestrians.
In large cities, traffic is present in almost all areas of people's daily activity, and results in many phenomena among which especially the congestion. [1]
It has developed software that is in testing phase for counting vehicles on a two-lane avenue. The program can be adapted for larger numbers of lanes. This program was originally developed with Matlab. However, for operational reasons, it is completing its implementation in OpenCV supplemented with Python.
